LeBron James could have been one of the greatest football players of all time. But as we all know, he chose the NBA and became one of the greatest basketball players of all time. Not a bad trade off.

The King is one of those very rare athletic specimens who could have succeeded in any sport at pretty much any level since the age of 15. Just take a look at some of his gridiron highlights from when he used to lace them up for St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in Akron, Ohio.

He had the size, strength and greatness to excel if he chose to stick with football, but he probably made the best decision by opting to stick to the hardwood. However, none of this is stopping LeBron from helping out his former high school football team.

Sure, the basketball team gets all of the love and hype, but James recently made a contribution that is sure to make a difference this upcoming season. Check out the sick, brand new uniforms the Fighting Irish will wear in 2013. Shout out to LeBron!
