The Nike KD7 launched with a performance objective to help Kevin Durant stay lightning quick, with this latest colorway of the shoe focusing on lightning in the literal sense: namely, sprite lightning, a mystery phenomenon to many meteorologists in which lightning rises upwards from the top of thunderclouds into the atmosphere. The theme here reflects Durant’s upward career trajectory while also giving the nod to KD’s personal interest in meteorology, featuring a Hyper Jade upper with contrasting hits of Black and Volt throughout. The Nike KD7 “Uprising” launches in stores beginning October 16th.
