In summer 2015, VICE founder Shane Smith purchased a gorgeous Spanish Colonial mansion in Santa Monica, California. The media mogul had to shell out approximately $23 million USD to buy the sunny abode from hotel tycoon André Balazs. As one would expect, this 1930s-inspired dwelling features a slew of lush features, including a 72-foot-long swimming pool, 14,000 square feet of living space, and is apparently sitting on one of the largest lots in the Californian city. As far as intricate details go, a handful of the rooms are fitted with vintage decor and mosaic flooring. There is also a massive library and a secret room that one can gain access via a bookshelf door.

Take a look at Smith’s breathtaking home that he shares with his wife Tamyka and two daughters above. Also, be sure to head over to The Wall Street Journal for an extensive look, here.
