Bryson Tiller has been seen promoting the Nike Air Force 1 Special Forces sneakers a lot on Instagram lately, and it looks like the swoosh has taken notice.

It appears that Pen Griffey is officially part of team Nike now, and he is already designing shoes for the brand.

Tiller has recently joined team Nike and has been welcomed with open arms thanks to a special session at NikeLab 21 Mercer’s Bespoke iD Studio.

Tiller’s choice of the Air Force 1 hails from his upbringing, dating back to his high school days. Bryson states that “I wore a uniform to school, so the white-on-white or black-on-black Air Force 1 Low was the simple sneaker to wear, but it was the standard. You were cool if you had on a pair of Air Force 1s and it’s still a staple for me while on tour.” During the creative session he managed to craft a special pair inspired by his hometown of Louisville, Kentucky. Its upper hosted University Red coloring while gracing premium full-grain leather, giving off the look and feel of boxing gloves. The eyestays are Tour Yellow while the lace dubraes welcomed Metallic Gold to bring it full circle. As a finisher, an off-white midsole and gum outsole closed out the design to Tiller’s satisfaction.
