After catching a glimpse here and there on the Internet, Jordan Brand finally makes it official earlier this evening with the first images of Air Jordan 6 Retro “Sport Blue.” While it was one of the original five colorways to launch back in 1991, hence the “Retro” designation, the White/Sport Blue/Black colorway went off the product line soon afterwards. While other AJ6 got “retroed” over the 23 years, the Jumpman brand skipped over this rare rendition till now. In mostly white with Sport Blue accents along the midsole, lace lock and Porsche 911 Turbo-inspired heel loop, the Air Jordan VI Retro “Sport Blue” will finally be available for $170 USD later this summer, on August 16th, as part of Jordan Brand’s Fall 2014 line-up.
