Life must be easy as a professional basketball player. Not only do you get paid millions of dollars for your God-given talents but you have beautiful women throwing themselves at you left and right. Even when you’re married.
It’s never an easy thing for an NBA player to stay faithful, just ask newly-signed Brooklyn Nets forward Andrei Kirilenko. Hailing from Russia, he is something of an international star. And as we all know where there are stars, groupies follow.
However the 32-year-old has a beautiful pop star wife in Masha Lopatova. Why would he need to cheat? Well because she let’s him… at least once every year that is. Apparently the 34-year-old cougar has a set “allowance” to cheat once a year. Awesome!
This hasn’t been much of a secret for some time now but as Andrei heads into the big market of New York City, the reports have re-surfaced. During his time with the Utah Jazz, Masha revealed to the Salt Lake City Tribune these detailed reports. This comes according to the NY Post.
“What’s forbidden is always desirable. And athletes, particularly men, are susceptible to all the things they are offered,” Masha Lopatova, 34, told the Salt Lake Tribune in 2006 when the 6-foot-9 forward played for the Utah Jazz. “It’s the same way raising children — If I tell my child, ‘No pizza, no pizza, no pizza,’ what does he want more than anything? Pizza!”
She does have a pretty solid point. Why can’t all wives be like this?! The divorce rate would come to a resounding stand still!
“Male athletes in this country are extremely attractive,” Lopatova once told ESPN. “They get chased by women. It’s hard to resist. It’s the way men are by nature. When I’m aware and I let him do it, it’s not cheating.”
It’s good to see that both husband and wife are on the same page. They are being realistic with their crazy lifestyles and so far it’s paid off. The couple has been married for 13 years and share two sons. A testament to their strong relationship through some sacrifice.
