1. Don’t Over Pack

Don’t be tempted to bring everything. Pack only what is essential.

2. You Pay For Everything

There are taxes on the meal plan, transportation fees, gym fees, text book fees and more. So, make sure to utilize all your resources.

3. Get Involved to Make Connections

Even though it’s hard, it’s important to put yourself out there and make connections.

4. Have Your Own Everything

Avoid excessive sharing and bring what you need (snacks, personal supplies, etc.) so you won’t be tempted to use your roommates supplies.

5. Be Yourself

College is all about fun; just don’t do things for acceptance. Be who you are.

6. Have a Working Mindset

It’s really important to transition fast and come with a mindset to work and study, and be on time with your assignments in order to succeed.

7. Have a Balance for Everything

Make out time for everything such as study, school, party, self, and more.

8. Be Mindful of Who You Let In

Be very selective with whom you open up.

9. Perception is Everything

Get along with the right people and do the right things.

10. Have Fun

Meet new people, go out, explore the campus, get involved, go to activities. Make your college experience the best one.
