SanDisk is seeking energetic and enthusiastic students who are motivated, self-driven, and comfortable working completely independently. This is not your typical 9-5 office job. SanDisk Field Marketing Interns are out in the field everyday making a difference!
What will you do on the job?
SanDisk is looking for Field Marketing interns to represent the brand in various locations across the country. After attending Field Marketing boot camp at SanDisk headquarters, in Silicon Valley California, you will be equipped with a vast knowledge of consumer electronics and SanDisk’s leading role in the industry. You will be the face of SanDisk in retail stores in your area. This position requires a highly motivated individual with entrepreneurial ideals.
The day-to-day operations of a field marketing intern involve store visits (i.e. Walmart, Best Buy, Radio Shack, Walgreens, Office Max, Office Depot, Staples, and Photo Specialty stores) to establish relationships with store managers and sales associates as well as participate in special store events. On location, you will cross-train sales associates and managers to illustrate the competitive advantage of SanDisk products and directly interface with customers to educate and drive sales. The intern will report back to headquarters on a weekly basis to update the channel marketing team on activity.
What are the job requirements?
– Desire to learn more about the retail/channel industry, marketing centric activities, and the fast paced world of consumer electronics.
– Available to work 40 hours per week over the summer from June to August with possible opportunity to continue part-time once school starts.
– Valid driver’s license, automobile, proof of auto insurance with $1M in coverage OR easily accessible public transportation.
– Mobile phone, digital camera and laptop or desktop with internet connection.
– Available to travel to Milpitas, CA in early June for one week of training at SanDisk Headquarters.
– Current student enrolled at a university at the time of application and for the duration of the internship.
– Ability to build and maintain rapport with new customers and strengthen existing relationships.
