After professional athletes retire, everyone hopes to find their favorite players doing well down the road. Some spiral off though, and in the case of former Raiders defensive end Anthony Smith, he has certainly fallen far.

Smith caught a murder case in the early ’00s, in which the trial ended in a hung jury. Instead of learning from that experience, Smith recently caught three more first-degree murder charges related to the first one. His lawyer claims he will plead not guilty to all three charges.

Smith was the 11th pick in the 1990 NFL draft, and played all seven of his seasons with the Raiders.
