Phones reveal a lot of helpful information. For example, you pick up your girlfriend’s phone (to see what time it is) only to see a text from “Tom Turtle Bay” thanking her for last night. You toss on your Jordan VII’s and head for the door, never to return to Murray Hill. Thank you iPhone!

Well, yesterday while perusing my Instagram feed, I came across a picture — compliments of Iman Shumpert (who then deleted his Instagram shortly after, realizing he inadvertently leaked something big). Let’s just say, for your typical obsessive Knicks fan, Christmas came early.

No, Camby hasn’t retired yet. But it’s kind’ve the next best thing. Two words: Alternate. Jerseys. It’s sad how long I’ve been waiting around for alternate jerseys. The Knicks took steps in the right direction (fashion wise) last year, bringing back the vintage-cut, retro-inspired jerseys they introduced prior to the season. This time around, they add an orange alternate for those “oh-so-special” contests.

Truth be told, at first glance, I was a hater. Orange Knicks jerseys? Aren’t these loud, bright orange threads a bit much? Then I realized, no, no, they aren’t. In fact, they’re pretty fresh. Think about Melo once again rocking orange. Bottom line is, if Shumpert approves, odds are I approve.
