Jabari Parker is a good guy. As one of the many potential no. 1 overall picks for the 2014 NBA Draft, the freshman Blue Devils star continues to build on his excellent reputation as one of the most personable guys in college basketball by giving his Duke classmates a nice treat out of the goodness of his heart.
To thank the fans that have been camping out to get their tickets for their big rivalry game against North Carolina on Saturday, he baked up a specialty surprise — his world famous Jabari bars — and served them up for no absolutely no cost. He would’ve been suspended otherwise!
Students were extremely grateful for the kind act but more starstruck at the fact that their hero would take the time to cook for them. It’s awesome to see that Jabari has some serious passion somewhere else besides the court as we could easily see this transition into a career on Food Network one day.
““If these hit the market, and if I get famous off this, I’m afraid I’ll have to leave college early,” Parker said. “To be like a professional dessert-maker.”
