A 20-year-old Kenyan mother, Millicent Owuor, gave birth to Barack Obama and Mitt Romney on Wednesday at the Siaya District Hospital in southwest Kenya.
She told the Kenyan news outlet that her sons’ names will forever remind her of the election in the United States.
The hospital is located neat the village of Kogelo, where President Obama’s father was born and where his 90-year-old step grandmother, Sarah Obama, currently resides.
“If Obama did not win, I believe most projects here would stall,” Joseph Onyango told the Kenyan media outlet.
Kenyans hope that Obama’s re-election will renew the relationship between the U.S. and Kenya.’
