Unfortunately with the way things have gone lately, this won’t come as a surprise to everyone. Alleged ISIS supporter Abdul Malik Abdul Kareem was indicted on charges in May of providing weapons and training to the men killed in the Prophet Mohammed incident in Texas last summer. He is now being further indicted on charges that link him to ISIS documents that had the home addresses of US service members. CNN also made note about a possible plan to target the Super Bowl:

“From December to May 2014, Kareem and others allegedly attempted to acquire pipe bombs and inquired about what type of explosives would be needed to create maximum damage at venues such as the mall at Westgate and nearby University of Phoenix Stadium, where the Super Bowl was to be played on February 1, the indictment said.”

After the terrorist attacks on September 11th everyone has known the Super Bowl would be a huge target, but with the way things have gone this year with attacks on US soil, this feels a little bit more real.
