Nike founder and University of Oregon alum, Phil Knight, is a savvy man. He’s turned a hometown label into a worldwide brand and with a $16.8 billion net worth, and made a fortune doing it.

In 2013 alone, he went off for some record sales with more than $3 billion amassed, and $2.25 of that billion was from the Jordan brand alone. Compared to 2012′s sales of $2 billion, that’s nice little increase.

But, everybody’s eating off that Nike brand. You should’ve joined Nike, D Rose. Not only wouldn’t you keep breaking your sh*t with the Adidas curse, but you would be marketed in ways that no other company could do.

Of course Nike has all of the top talent from the LeBron’s, to the Kobe’s and don’t forget Kevin Durant’s line. The KD’s saw saw a nice jump from $35 million to $175 million in 2013 proving that his brand is one of the fastest growing in the NBA.
