A 4/20 celebration at the University of California – Santa Cruz was abruptly interrupted when police officers confiscated a joint containing approximately 2.5 pounds of marijuana, said to be worth at least $5,000.

A video of the incident shows one student freaking out about his piffery being confiscated, despite the fact that police could hit him with felony charges rather than just taking away the bud.

While anyone with a medicinal card can carry small amounts of marijuana, 2 pounds or more is punishable by several years in prison.

The owner of the joint threatened to sue the officers for harassment.

“You lied to me, too. Dude you’re a liar. You’re a liar…. I can’t wait to see you in court. I can show how you’re harassing me,” he says.

“We’re going to court, man. We’re totally going to court.”
Yeah, we don’t think that’s going to work. If you want to keep your bud, don’t be a dick and roll an obnoxiously large joint. It’s a waste of weed and money, and he got what he had coming to him.
