Steve Nash is one of those very rare, multi-talented athletes who can excel in more than just one sport. We already know how great of a leader he can be, as point guard for the Los Angeles Lakers, but he hasn’t kept it much of a secret that he can bend also it like Beckham. I’m talking about on the soccer pitch.

According to Yahoo! Sports, the 39-year-old guard is looking to pick up an old hobby by trying out for the Inter Milan soccer team. A bold attempt, especially at his age. Not to mention Milan is one of the best clubs in Italy.

The two time MVP will reportedly be having a tryout on Tuesday. He spoke to the Associated Press recently where he expressed his excitement.

“It’s a dream come true to get a chance to try out, not just to try out but to take the field with Inter Milan, one of the great, storied franchises in professional sports,” Nash said. “I feel like a little kid.”
If he were to actually make the squad and suit up for the team, then surely this would be one of the best crossovers in sports history. Hailing from Canada, Nash is more than just a one-trick pony, having played hockey as well.

I wonder what teammate Kobe Bryant thinks about all of this. He can’t be too happy about potentially losing his point guard.
