Christmas Day, while normally a festive, fun time for families, can prove to be tumultuous for others, as it is the most common time for people to get caught cheating.

Ayesha Vardag, who has acted in a string of multimillion dollar separations, said she has noticed a marked rise in the number of break-ups stemming from text messages and calls on Christmas Day.

That’s right, the mistress wants to feel special on that special day, as well.

She said that Christmas Day “text message bustings” had become an increasingly common feature in divorce cases as mobile phones became more crucial parts of our lives.

Christmas is a dangerous time for many couples, as the infidelity can come crashing down and ruin Christmas quicker than the Grinch could even imagine.

My advice? Lock up your cell phone and save the pleasantries for the side piece for the 26th.
