In an effort to compete with Apple’s MacBook, HP has unveiled the Spectre 13 notebook which is said to be the world’s thinnest laptop. At just 10.4 mm thick, the newest model from the Palo Alto company is thinner than the aforementioned MacBook and another comparative model, the Dell XPS 13, which measure in at 13.2 mm and 15.2 mm respectively. The laptop’s 13.3-inch 1080p display, 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage are impressive for a device thats about as thin as a AAA battery, while speakers by Bang & Olufsen coupled with HP Audio Boost technology give users an unrivalled sound experience from a device of its size. A carbon fiber bottom and dark grey aluminum body keep the Spectre 13 both durable and lightweight (2.45 lbs), and elegant copper accents provide a luxurious touch.

Pre-orders begin April 25 for $1,170 USD, before a wider release is expected on May 22 starting at a base price of $1,250 USD.
