Sony has unveiled a loaded addition to its renowned A6000 line. The compact A6300 features 4K video, capable of 1920 x 1080 Full HD video at up to 120 frames per second, as well as what Sony claims is the world’s fastest autofocus. The camera is able to lock on in as little as .05 seconds by packing more autofocus sensor points on the image sensor than any other interchangeable-lens camera with an APS-C sensor. The sensor has 24 megapixel resolution, and the Bionz X processor allows shooting at an ISO sensitivity of up to 51200. The viewfinder is upgraded to 2.4 million dots, nearly twice the resolution of the previous model. Other features include silent shooting, a microphone line input, Wi-Fi, and NFC. Look for the Sony A6300 to be available in March 2016, retailing for $1,000 for the camera only or $1,150 when paired with a 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 kit lens.
