During a videotaped confession, Rivera admitted to shooting Taylor after the football star confronted a group of men who broke into his home near Miami. Rivera testified that he was improperly coerced during the taped confession, and blamed the killing on another alleged burglar at the scene.

In three and a half seasons with the Redskins, he made more of an impression on a lot of a people than many people thought coming out of college. The fact that so many people still watch these highlights and still talk about Sean every day shows the impact he had on this game. Although his career and life were cut drastically short, his legacy certainly lives on. Rest in peace Sean and God bless his family.
