In the video, Mike Will Made It takes over a school’s intercom to play Cyrus’ tune, creating an all-out party, which leads to Miley smoking in bathrooms and sitting on basketball hoops. The foam finger that appeared in Cyrus infamous MTV Video Music Awards’ performance also makes a cameo.
We wonder if the video is also a tribute to Britney Spears. While “23” is more risqué than Spears’ debut video for “Hit Me Baby One More Time,” there are a few notable similarities: classroom bells, unamused students in class and bouncing basketballs.
Ever since August 27th when Miley Cyrus unleashed a pic of her twerking in a Michael Jordan outfit and threatened us with a song honoring the GOAT, we have been witnessing pic after pic and story after story of the trashy Cyrus destroying every bit of her Hannah Montana Disney image that was worth over a billion dollars a few year ago.
