Soon, you may be heading out to use virtual reality headsets as if you were going to a movie.

IMAX announced today that it’s struck a deal with Odeon & UCI Cinemas Group, the largest chain of movie theaters in Europe, to open “VR centers.” Kicking off in Manchester, the partnership will see the center inside one of Odeon & UCI’s existing theaters and will include 5-15-minute VR experiences sourced from both Hollywood and gaming studios. Eventually, the centers will be home to original content that IMAX is developing alongside Google, not to mention proprietary panoramic VR headsets created in conjunction with Acer and Starbreeze. Ultimately, if the Manchester center proves to be a hit, you can count on more of the locations popping up in the future.

The initial IMAX VR center is currently on track to open before year’s end.
