As a result of a nine-month, multi-agency, investigation called Operation Southbound, officials have arrested 39 people associated with a drug trafficking operation that delivered millions of dollars of cocaine from NYC to upstate communities.

39 arrests were a result of early morning raids in Cortland, Syracuse, and five other central NY areas.

State Attorney General Eric Scheiderman says that the police have already seized more than $1 million worth of cocaine.
