With the Summer Olympics coming to Rio this August, you can bet that there will be plenty of Olympic-inspired drops as we get closer and closer to the start of the games. One you can definitely count on is the return of the classic Air Jordan 7 “Olympic.” This time around, however, Jordan Brand is going a different route than it did with 2012′s reissue. Instead of dropping the make-up that MJ himself donned on-court in Barcelona in 1992, Jordan Brand is releasing a special “Alternate” version of the classic look. Supposedly an OG Tinker Hatfield design that ultimately didn’t make the Dream Team cut, the “Alternate” take on the kicks sports a number of changes — most notably, more navy across the upper, golden accents on the branding alone and a speckled midsole.

Jordan fans can expect the design to hit retailers worldwide August 16 for $190 USD.
